Warranty Hero 1.3.2

Warranty Hero 1.3.2 is designed as a useful tool with a focus on ease-of-use which makes adding new product (or service) information as simple as entering its name, vendor, purchase date and a time the warranty expires.

Warranties are a fickle thing. Everyone buys extended warranties for the added insurance or relies on the standard one, in case a product fails prematurely. But hard to remember when the warranty runs out. This is where Warranty Hero can be incredibly useful.

Major Features:

1. Remind me
   • The Remind me feature automatically sets up a Warranty Hero Calendar in iCal and a reminder for each product if you wish. The reminder is set to the last day of warranty on 12:00 am. To get reminded on your iPhone or iPod as well, simply syncronize the Warranty Hero Calendar in iTunes. As you see, this is all done native and without an application enhancer so you get no problems with your system.
2. Save money
   • We all have a lot of low cost devices and gadgets around us right? Remotes, DVD Players, Toasters, Coffee Makers, Staplers, Hair Dryer and so on. Because they are made as cheap as possible, they tend to fail. Most people think they had it for a long time and the warranty must be over. But the truth is in most cases you still have 1 - 1,5 years warranty left. Enforce your right, you have already paid for it !
3. Fast entering
   • Entering new purchases in Warranty Hero is designed to be as fast as possible. The basic data you need is the vendor name, the product name, the purchase date and the length of warranty. That can be done in 10 seconds. The rest is optional. If you want it to look nice, invest 10 more seconds and google for an image and drag it in.
4. Receipt managing
   • If you like the luxury of having the receipt by hand as you need it simply attach the receipt to the product by drag & drop. Finally PDF management becomes easy and fun. So you can save the time you would spend managing PDFs in folder structures, tagging them and adding keywords.
   • Since version 1.3 you can also take a picture of the receipt and drag it in, Warranty Hero will automatically convert that into PDF format.
5. Quick look receipts
   • Get a big preview of your receipts to look up contact information. From there you can go full screen with your PDF to see everything little thing you might need.
6. Take notes
   • The new much requested notes feature lets you write down, all you need. It detects Hyperlinks automatically and you can make things bold or change the font. The notes are also searchable.
7. Fast Search
   • The incredible fast search function looks for every thing. You could search for "Apple" and may get 3 results, now increase your search, type "Apple macbook". Let´s say there would be 2 left. Keep typing "apple macbook repair", assumeing you have a repair note enterd it would also find that. If necceserry, the serial number of your products are also indexd by the search mechanism. You don´t have to set the search criteria - It looks automatically everywehre.
8. iSight camera
   • Warranty Hero makes use of your build in iSight camera. This allows you to take pictures of your products if you don´t want to google. Additionally if you don´t have a Scanner, it can transform a picture of your receipt into a PDF.
9. Export data
   • You can export your database as CSV ( Comma separated value ) which you can open for example in Numbers or even Microsoft Excel.
   • Also you can export a PDF summary of your library.
