Calcline 2.0.1 is a useful utility created to use as the ideal substitute of the ancient desktop calculator.

Open it, type the algebraic problem and press return. Done. It is possible to insert standard expressions with parenthesis and using various nested functions. Variable assignment and reference inside expressions are very easy using an interactive table.
Expressions are solved if requested step by step showing all the mathematical passages.

High precision in calculation. It can be used in two form, as a very small window, which takes a minimum space of the desktop or in the expanded view, with the board showing all the step in solving the expressions and a sliding drawers containing the table with the user variables. Calcline is based on a mathematical engine developed internally at Tension Software and uses long double number and uses a high precision in calculation.

Calcline can be used in this compact view or using an extended view. The extended view shows, above the input field, a board in which Calcline displays the expression solved step by step. This allows to verify how Calcline solves expressions as if you do them by hand.

Using Calcline it is possible to specify and create on the fly an unlimited number of variable values. A Drawer which can slide out from the Calcline window shows a table with all the created variables.

Best of all in the board you will see the substitutions of the variable one by one and then how the expression is solved.

Creating variables in the table is easier than saying it. Not only you can use the add button to add a new variable, and clicking it you can edit in place inside the table but even you can create new variable form the edit field in an simple way.
