Paydoit 3.0

Paydoit 3.0 is created to be a nice-to-use utility made up of REALbasic elements that can be used to require potential customers to enter a registration code before using your software. It provides a flexible foundation for any program, including demo window capabilities, and an easy setup for complete compatibility with newer versions of REALbasic.

Quick Start!
Double click on the "gen complete" file or open it from your current version of Realbasic. Double click on "window1" and reveal the "open event". You should see this code:

• multi=?//your multiplier here
• added=?//your added number here
• close
• register.show

Replace the question marks with any number you choose. Make a note of what numbers you put for each of the two variables. Save the program and then run it.

Enter any name you would like to test and hit return to generate the registration code. If you are happy with this, then go ahead and build the application that you will use to generate your codes.

Double click on the "finalprog complete" file or open it from your current version of Realbasic. Double click on "window1" and reveal the "open event". Change the code to match the numbers you used in the generator. Save the project and run it. Now enter the name and number exactly as done in the generator. This should open the "Main" window which will indicate that the correct code was entered. This also creates a preferences file in the same folder where you saved the project.

If you run the program again the registration window will be bypassed because the customer has paid. It is quite possible to use the Paydoit! elements in an existing project without having to start over. You simply drag the elements out of your project and into Paydoit!, being careful not to duplicate any of the preset variables. It is also possible to modify Paydoit! For instance you might want to put the paid file in the peferences folder.
