JabRef is a graphical frontend to manage BibTeX databases, the standard LaTeX bibliography reference format.
JabRef is build to be platform independent (requires Java 1.4.2 or newer). It merges and extends the functionalities of JBibtexManager (Nizar Batada) and BibKeeper (Morten O. Alver).
JabRef is an open source bibliography reference manager. The native file format used by JabRef is BibTeX, the standard LaTeX bibliography format.
JabRef runs on the Java VM (version 1.5 or newer), and should work equally well on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.

- Plugin manager now handles plugin versions correctly based on the version number in their plugin.xml file.
- Added formatter "Number" that outputs a sequence number for the current entry in the current export operation. This formatter can be used to produce a numbered list of entries.
