The main applications for MacBreakZ are to prevent repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and promote healthy and pain-free computing and to aid the recovery from repetitive strain injuries.
MacBreakZ achieves this by helping us re-structure our computer usage: it monitors user activity and suggests appropriate times for recovery and micro-breaks; provides a range of stretching exercises designed to relieve muscular tension and improve static posture and it provides ergonomic information on how to use our computer in a healthy manner.

It also features dozens of great ergonomic tips.

An extensive array of preferences allow you to customize everything from how activity is measured to the way information is presented on the screen.

Through its innovative interface using transparency and sound, it keeps you informed without stealing your focus and gives you plenty of warning before a break is due and even then respectfully waits until you have stopped working. A special "stealth" mode encodes all essential information into a inconspicuous menu bar item for those who do not wish to broadcast the fact that they are using the product.
