TimeBoxed 1.2.7 will not make you disappointed because you can choose from a variety of alerts to notify you when time is up: sound, speech alert, visual animations, Growl messages...

It supports Applescript: you can write your own scripts to automate TimeBoxed. Time is a scarce resource. Time is a very limited resource: use it wisely. Every wasted minute is lost for ever. Have you ever noticed that you are more productive when you have a deadline?
Do you lose track of time and get caught up in unimportant details? Ever had some work you were procrastinating over? Simply set up a timer with a time limit that sounds reasonable - 10 minutes, half an hour - and commit yourself to be completely focused for this chunk of time.

TimeBoxed was designed to be extremely simple to use. Each of its features has been carefully designed and configured to adhere to the core mission of this application. In fact, many features were discarded because they just couldn't live up to the stringent mission requirements. The result is an application that does exactly what you need, the way you need it.

Major Features:

1. Alerts
   • When a timer finishes, the time bar turns red. While working on something else, you might be so focused that you won't notice.
   • TimeBoxed has a lot of alerts to notify you. Choose from:
   • Visual animations: TimeBoxed animates its window,bounces the dock icon, flash the screen.
   • If you prefer a sound alert, just choose the one you like.
   • TimeBoxed can even talk to you!
   • If you want something more subtle, TimeBoxed can run Growl notifications.
   • You don't have to choose one alert over the other. TimeBoxed can run all of them if that's what you prefer.
2. Non obtrusive user interface
   • We assume you have real work to do, and want to be roughly aware of the elapsed time and be notified when time is up. You never asked to be disturbed with the text of the remaining time being updated for each passing second.
   • Don't worry, TimeBoxed is not that rude.
     
   • TimeBoxed main window is, on purpose, very light.
   • You can configure TimeBoxed main window level : on top of every other window, or visible only when time is almost up.
   • TimeBoxed does not disturb you before you need it, and nicely warns you when its duty is over!
3. Easy interaction
   • TimeBoxed is fully accessible, with your mouse or your keyboard.
   • Every feature is only one click - or key press - away.
   • There are keyboards shortcuts for all of the most used features.
