Major Features:

1. Project Management: Each project is structured as a task tree, or as a business process. You can always see at a glance the project’s current status. Each task can be associated to users (or more generally, resources) through assignments. Each resource plays a role in the project, such as “Project Manager”, “Worker”, “Stakeholder” (and you can define your own roles).
2. Business Processes: Why extend project management with business processes? There are several reasons for extending project management with business processes; in fact the two are sometimes presented as alternatives for meeting team organizational needs. But with Teamwork you get the advantages of both, in an integrated solution.  
3. Worklog: Teamwork’s focus is on keeping track of projects evolution in time. Recording work log is critical for the success of such monitoring. The log activity can be felt as a burden, so Teamwork has a one-click procedure for recording a full day of work.

5. Groupware: How do you define a work group or team? A standard way is simply as the set of people belonging to a department. But actually more dynamically, a team is the set of people working on a project. Once you have defined project structure and assignments, you get teams for free. Each team member plays a role through assignments, having specifics rights for each task. Both standard and dynamic modalities are actively supported by Teamwork.
6. Documents: Would you like to have your documents always at one-click distance from the project? You can upload and download documents through the web interface as project attachments. Versioning, file locking, authoring and classification are all supported. Do you want to spare the hassle of upload/download of files already secured and classified on the server file system? No problem: you are free to choose whether to manage documents through secure upload/download from Teamwork’s repository, or to link projects to a set of folders and files on your file servers.
7. IT Integration: Teamwork is unique as it is "biocompatible" with the existing IT infrastructure: runs on any server (is built in Java java.sun.com), on any application server, on your database, on all main browsers and in your language (all utf-8 encodings are supported). Moreover, its sources are available. It is the easiest application to integrate with your IT infrastructure. Being on your database in a normal and simple relational form, you are always in control of your data.
8. Smart features: An application success is directly proportional to user’s satisfaction. This is particularly true in the case of a work management application: if users don’t log in, check information and read and insert required data, it quickly becomes useless. Teamwork has been designed to fascinate and confuse users. Teamwork has been designed to facilitate user interaction and offer tools and tricks for the power user; this is not trivial in the case of a web application.
9. Languages: available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and soon also in Chinese.  
10. Resource Planning: Resource management may mean management at different levels of details.
