MotiMotion Prospects is a new personal finance application for Macs. Prospects offers powerful budgeting and account monitoring abilities in an easy-to-use, elegant interface.

Main features:
- ViewPoints - When viewing information for an account that contains transactions, Prospects provides up to three ViewPoints that provide instantaneous information about the account. The ViewPoints use sliders to allow the timeframe to be changed quickly, can be positioned on the side or bottom of the window, and remember their settings for each account. This means you can customize the exact information you care about for a given account and it will always be available while working with that account. If you need more space, the viewpoints can be easily hidden with a single mouse click or hotkey combination.
- Binders - You can group accounts into Binders that provide immediate feedback on your assets, liabilities and overall Binder growth. For example, you could place all your savings accounts into a Binder and with one click see your savings assets and growth over the past year.
- Reports - The first release of Prospects provides a customizable cash flow report that can be accessed at any time, saved using different parameters, and printed as needed. Many more reports are planned for future updates.
- Budgets - Although only one budget can be "active" at a given time, Prospects allows for any number of budgets to be created. Budgets can be also be duplicated with a single click. Budgets account for income, expenses and savings items. Budget items can be entered using a number of frequencies (e.g. Weekly, Bi-Weekly, etc). Prospects provides immediate access to four graphs that visually indicate how well your budget is planned.
- Budget Advisor - The Budget Advisor is available from any accounts transaction list with a single-click or hotkey combination. It provides immediate information on how well your budget is performing based upon the data in your accounts. It provides numerous methods of viewing the information, including a consolidated view (budgeted vs. actual income, expenses and savings) or a detailed view broken out by category. It also provides cumulative and average information.
- Categories - Prospects uses categories and sub-categories to manage budgets and other information. Categories are automatically assigned a unique color by Prospects, but the colors can be changed at any time. The colors are used through Prospects in graphs and the transaction list to visually tie together information. A default list of categories is provided with Prospects, but the list can be modified any way you see fit.
- Memorized Payees - Prospects automatically remembers information about payees that you enter into your transaction list and auto-completes their names and information the next time you enter them into your transaction list. Payees can be "locked" so their information (amount, category, and/or notes) remains the same, or they can be "unlocked" so Prospects uses the information from the most recent entry.
- Attachments - By simply dragging and dropping, you can attach any number of files or URLs to a transaction. When clicked, the attachment will open in the appropriate application (e.g. a WebArchive of an online purchase receipt will open in Safari). You can also manage your attachments by renaming or deleting them on a per-transaction basis.
- Rules - Define rules that can be applied at any time to an account or during import that automatically adjusts your transactions that meet the proper conditions. For example, a rule could automatically apply the "Food:Groceries" category for any transaction with a payee name containing the word "supermarket". The rules can be viewed at the same at your transactions so you tweak and apply the rules until they are correct.
- QIF, OFX and QFX Importing - Prospects can import QIF, OFX and QFX files that you download from your banks website. Prospects will check for duplicates based on past imports, as well as potential duplicates for transactions that may have been entered by you manually before they were imported. In your preferences, you can choose how you would like to handle imports - confirm only potential duplicates, confirm potential and actual duplicates, or confirm every imported transaction.

Enhancements
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed issue that could cause balance to not be saved in rare cases.
- Recent Transactions ViewPoint no longer shows the "new" transaction in the results.
Fixed all areas where editing amounts as currency was problematic:
- Reconcile statement screen.
- Reconcile transactions table.
- Budget item entry sheet.
- Recurring Transaction sheet (amount and splits).
- If using the preference to display negative numbers in parentheses, you can now enter negative values using either parentheses or a minus sign.
- Fixed issue where deleting a category could cause error messages when saving your file.
- Fixed issue where filename would sometimes be reported as (Null) in the main window title.
- Fixed issue where editing a Recurring Transaction would not properly display the transfer account.
- Fixed issue where posting a Scheduled Transaction would not populate the Notes field.
- Fixed various issues when editing split transactions that could result in strange behavior and/or crash.
- Fixed issue where toggling ViewPoint orientation could potentially result in display problems.
- Fixed issue where the report content could overlap the report options when viewing a report.
- Fixed startup crash that would occur when using Indian Rupees as currency.
- Fixed issue in Budget Advisor where it was not rolling up sub-category amounts in the YTD and Average YTD charts.
- Fixed crash that could potentially occur after reconciling an account and adding a transaction on the reconcile sheet.
- Enhancements and New Features
- When importing transactions, now checks for potential duplicates based on amount only, resulting in less duplicates.
- New preference to ignore transfers in ViewPoint calculations (this is ON by default; see Help documentation for further details).
