The eAuthorize plug-in extends the capability of FileMaker Pro by providing a method to process credit cards and electronic checks directly from your database. eAuthorize connects to an online payment gateway to process your payments instantly and securely.
Integrating your payment processing directly into your database provides a significant advantage when designing a FileMaker Pro solution that must handle payments, sales, inventory, order fulfillment, etc. With eAuthorize you can pass the customers payment information to the gateway and receive an immediate authorization response back. This response indicates if the transaction was accepted or declined.

- Fast Payment Authorization - Processing payments through your Internet connection with eAuthorize is fast! Know immediately if a transaction was accepted or declined with average processing times under a second.
- Increased Efficiency - Streamline your sales by doing away with inefficient payment processing methods. Eliminate both the human error and delays involved with running authorizations manually.
- Use Card Code Verification - Sending additional data, such as a CVV2 check, to the gateway helps to reduce fraud. eAuthorize supports the use of card code verification. Detailed information on implementing this fraud protection method is included in the eAuthorize documentation.
- Utilize Address Verification - With the eAuthorize plug-in, the Address Verification System (AVS) check is also supported. Explicit instructions for using this fraud prevention tool is included in the documentation as well.

- FileMaker Pro 5, 6, and 7 Support - All releases of FileMaker Pro after version 5 are supported, and example files in .fp5 and .fp7 format are included for your reference.
- FileMaker Payment Integration - Is your current method of payment processing disjointed from your payment tracking database? eAuthorize allows you to process payments directly from FileMaker Pro to seamlessly integrate both payment processing and payment tracking.
- Credit Card and Electronic Check Processing - The plug-in is capable of sending multiple payment methods to the gateways. With Authorize.nets eCheck and VeriSigns TeleCheck method it is possible to take electronic checks as well as credit cards. However, your gateway account must be setup to accept the forms of payment you are attempting to pass through the plug-in.
- Authorize and Capture Funds - It is possible to send a sales authorization which will authorize and capture the funds in one transaction or the authorization and capture can be run in separate transactions.
- Void Transactions - You can void transactions with eAuthorize if the previous transaction has not yet settled. If settlement has passed, the plug-in can issue a credit.
- Issue Credits - Credit an amount back to a customers account through eAuthorize for handling returns.
- Proxy Server Support - With the VeriSign gateway, the eAuthorize plug-in supports the use of a proxy server. This allows it to function from an internal network where external network connections are controlled.
