Ambulant Player is a SMIL 2.0 playback engine available for Mac OS X, Linux, Windows and handhelds (Windows CE or Zaurus Linux).
Ambulant Player is a tool for presentation authors and developers: it attempts to provide very good adherence to the SMIL 2.0 standard, and the player has been structured in such a way that adapting it to different needs should be relatively easy.
The AMBULANT player may also be used as a complete, multi-platform media player for applications that do not need support for closed, proprietary media formats.
If you want to use AMBULANT as a media player, please keep in mind that licensing issues prevent us from providing support for RealMedia or WindowsMedia proprietary formats in this release of AMBULANT.
